Frequently Asked Questions - Health or Environment Concerns

Our company uses an IPM approach to pest management. This means that we focus on the SOURCE of your problem and only use chemicals as a last resort.

Our materials are very effective for insects and usually do not present any danger
for your pets or children once they dry.

All of the products we use are approved by the Environmental Protection Agency for pest and termite control.

We also offer botanical treatments for those customers who only want to use natural chemicals for pest control.

At Triangle Pest Control, we use quite a few different products, so the answer is yes and no.

If used correctly, the chemicals we use inside of your home will have no odor. The chemical is microencapsulated, so it does not give off any offensive smells. If you or a family member are sensitive to pesticides then it would be best to stay in a different room while the treatment dries (usually 1 hour).

This same treatment will not stain your walls or floors any more than water. Some of the baits and granular treatments may have an odor. The mouse/insect sticky packs used in the garage have a slight peanut butter odor, but they are pesticide free.

For the exterior of your house we use a power sprayer and a very effective pesticide. This does have a slight odor, but it dries quickly and the smell dissipates.

Usually the materials we use do not affect those with allergies; once our materials dry you should not experience any effects from them.
