We'd like to think of bed bugs as the type of pest relegated to grimy, unsanitary locales. Triangle Pest Control is here to tell you that unfortunately, that is just not the case. Don't let their common name fool you: bed bug infestations, a persistent and misunderstood problem, occur in more than just beds. The pests got their name from where they do their feeding -- most often on sleeping human hosts -- but can live and breed in a variety of places. Other than mattresses, their favorite spots are dark cracks and crevices. Curious whether you may have an infestation? Check between the seams and under your mattress, in cracks and crevices in your residence and behind peeling paint and the backs of picture frames. A quick inspection may reveal the reddish-brown, oval shaped insects, but if it doesn't, that doesn't necessarily mean a room is bed bug-free.
