Raleigh Durham Rodent Control Exterminator
Rodents can pose serious health risks such as disease spreading and house fires when even small numbers infest a home. It is believed that approximately 25% of all house fires started by unknown origin are the result of rodents chewing electrical wires or creating nests of flammable paper materials in small spaces.
Even the cleanest of Raleigh homes have problems with rodents, especially in the winter months when mice and other rodents look for warmth inside your home.
Our 3-Step Rodent Control Process:
Step 1
First, we complete a detailed inspection to determine where the rodents are getting in and why they want to come in.
Step 2
Next, we work with you to eliminate the areas that rodents enter your home.
Step 3
Finally, we install your preferred method of rodent station.
We Offer 3 Options for Rodent Control:
Solution 1
Glue boards
Though glue boards contain no chemicals, they are only a mildly effective solution for controlling rodents. It can take a long time to catch rodents as they must walk across the glue board to become trapped.
Solution 2
Rat Baits
Rat baits are fast and very effective because they capitalize on the rodent’s natural food seeking behavior. We use rat baits that are tamper proof for the safety of pets and children. However, when using rat baits there is no control where the rodent dies. A rodent that dies in a wall can emit a foul odor for several weeks.
Solution 3
Rodent Traps
Our preferred method of rodent treatment is the rodent trap. Rodent traps contain no poisons and because rodents are trapped, do not lead to foul smells due to decaying rodents who may die in the walls of your home. Rodent traps also capitalize on the rodent’s natural food seeking behavior and are therefore fast acting and very effective.
Because the rodent traps must be checked every 2-3 days, this type of treatment can become more expensive than other forms of rodent control due to multiple trips out to the property.
Effective rodent control starts by preventing rodents from entering your home. Once rodents have been removed from your home, we recommend our wildlife exclusion services as a way to prevent the return of these and other pests.
